The Technology and Global Sales - Senior Finance Manager is responsible for leading financial reporting, forecasting, business analysis and decision support for the Mining Technology & Global Sales team.  This role will provide financial counsel to commercial and product groups inside and outside the division to assist with the achievement of goals, provide a strategic focus and lead initiatives to support profitable technology and services growth. What You Will Do:

• Be a trusted business partner in supporting the Resource Industries Technology & Global Sales Support (T&GSS) department.
• Monthly financial reporting, analysis and presentation of the RI Technology and global sales financial performance and operational metrics.
• Support the segment Accountable annual business plan, early warnings, quarterly forecasts, and long-term forecast.
• Provide meaningful, actionable insights, and recommendations to leadership.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to initiate, lead, and support segment or corporate initiatives towards profitable services growth.
• Drive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processes in alignment of our Global Finance Strategy.

Skills Needed For Success In This Role:

• Financial Analysis & Financial Model: (Expert) Expert in financial analysis and financial modeling, ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. Ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.  Explains and advocate the organization's business model and competitive position to the enterprise and to the marketplace.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: (Extensive Experience) Advanced experienced and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Makes sound business decisions on behalf of the group when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives.
• Effective Communications: (Extensive Experience) Communicates effectively at Group President, Senior VPs, Group CFO and VPs. Applying effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Leadership: (Expert) Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there. Ability to leader different groups, collaborate and influence team in pursue of a vision/strategy and business goals.
• Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

What Will Set You Apart:

• Education/Experience: 8-year degree in accounting/finance and/or 8 years of relevant accounting/finance/business experience
• Demonstrated success and progression in previously held accounting or finance roles
• Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence with the ability to collaborate and partner across peers and leadership
• Initiative, leadership, good judgement, effective organization skills, and accountability
• Ability to take an Enterprise point of view and lead with our Values in Action.

Summary Pay Range:

$156,000.00 - $234,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
