Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (Bilingual)
The HRBP will be the leader of a multidisciplined team of 2; overseeing HR Operations, Human Resources Specialists, Employee Relations and local Benefits capabilities supporting the Canadian and Latin American business. Scope of role includes Regulatory Oversight and Regional wide strategic initiatives. You will be a member of the Americas and Europe Human Resources Leadership Team. Collaborate with Head of HR for Americas and Europe and local/global peers to identify, design and deliver human capital outcomes across the region and division.
What you will do:
- Strong partnership with HR and business stakeholders to develop human capital strategy (includes DEI strategy) that will accelerate and enable business outcomes across the region and international division. Work through complex factors that influence strategy.
- Member of the Canadian and Latin American leadership teams and Operating Committees.
- Convert human capital strategy into clear measurable actions, navigating multiple functions, teams, and stakeholders across matrix global organization. Oversee and execute on HR workstream of regulatory compliance requirements and programs enterprise projects and regional strategic initiatives.
- Leverage data to drive strategic decisions, monitor progress and identify risks.
- Paint compelling vision of strategy to motivates HR and business stakeholders. Strong communication skills with high degree of persuasion and influence to garner trust, gain confidence, ‘buy-in’ and advocacy. Manage situations with conflicting views and priorities across local/global HR and business stakeholders.
- Perform a broad leadership role across HR; ‘raising the bar’ on talent, coaching and developing team members, and driving strong overall team engagement.
- Create strong understanding of enterprise HR offers and global function human capital strategy to create standard work to benefit the region and enterprise. Evolving a more sustainable HR function through technology, processes, and people.
- Coach leaders on a wide range of talent related items such as organisational design and effectiveness, performance management, executive coaching.
Core responsibilities:
- Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Accountable for development of strategic Human Resources plans in alignment with corporate business objectives. Works with senior leaders to continue evolving the processes and policies in support of the strategy. Educates management on HR best practices. Understands and proactively addresses the HR needs of the subdivision, maintaining strategic alignment between the business and HR.
- Builds strategic relationships across departments and drives an effective human resources partnership with management, consulting on Human Resources planning and related issues. Assesses and anticipates Human Resources related needs. Leads a team responsible for the conflict resolution process. Partners with business area managers in the development of solutions for crew-related issues that affect business results.
- Consults with aligned business areas to develop HR strategies that support the needs of the business. Drives HR initiatives within the business area and acts as a liaison to other human resources functions. Contributes to the development of the HR strategy. Works with senior leadership on determining the best employee goals, metrics, and drivers.
- Directs and oversees Human Resources operations. Advocates for the HR agenda with senior business leaders. Aligns the business with global HR policies and programs. Conducts workforce planning within aligned business areas, and contributes to the enterprise-wide workforce plan.
- Makes recommendations and provides improvement insight regarding program goals and objectives in all areas of Human Resources management. Delivers reports to the business on key HR trends and metrics. Monitors various HR trends by preparing and analyzing reports from employee data. Presents analysis and recommendations to managers and works to develop action plans for addressing identified HR issues.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Core experience – experienced, highly motivated and dynamic senior HR leader.
- Track record of developing strong business acumen and translating that into a human capital strategy that enables business outcomes. Served as a strategic advisor to functional leaders.
- Experience developing and navigating strong working relationships across HR and business stakeholders, at all levels within global matrix management model.
- Lead cross functional teams to successfully solve critical business problems from strategy to execution.
- Lead teams, providing a compelling vision, driving accountability, and strong coaching and development.
- Data driven approach to measure effectiveness of human capital strategy, to identify root cause of issues and progress.
- Ability to switch seamlessly between operational excellence and strategic thinking.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in virtual environments and support international teams.
- Must be Bilingual – Spanish/English
