SUMMARY 

the Software Analyst II position is responsible for assisting in the analysis, design, and implementation of software solutions. This role plays a crucial role in supporting the research and development efforts of USAARL by ensuring the effective utilization of software tools and technologies. This position is 100% onsite in Ft. Rucker, AL.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS  

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. 

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three to four (3-4) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyzes complex software requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications. 

 

Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and document software requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with business objectives. 

 

Conducts in-depth research and analysis to identify innovative software solutions. 

 

Designs and develops software solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards and adhere to best practices. 

 

Performs comprehensive system testing and debugging to identify and resolve software defects and issues. 

 

Collaborates closely with software developers and engineers to ensure seamless integration and implementation of software solutions. 

 

Provides technical guidance and support to end-users, addressing complex software-related issues or concerns. 

 

Stays up to date with industry trends and advancements in software development, recommending improvements and innovative solutions. 

 

Conducts regular software audits to identify areas for improvement and optimize software performance. 

 

Documents software processes, procedures, and user manuals to facilitate knowledge sharing and training. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three to four (3-4) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
