Position Description:
Develops innovative technical solutions to address business problems and executes the implementation plan. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects involving multiple platforms and supports a range of divisional initiatives. Develops software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation for the project. Performs post-installation validation to identify and resolve technical problems. Prepares pipelines for deployment into the Cloud using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools – GIT, Stash, Jenkins Core, and Terraform. Defines architecture and design patterns for Cloud-enabled applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Technology. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development, experts, and management.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal, Data Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing data solutions with data lakes to support reporting and analytical needs in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal, Data Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing data solutions with data lakes to support reporting and analytical needs in a financial services environment.

Salary: $149,350.00 to $166,000.00/year.
