SUMMARY

The Computer Support Technician focuses on computer refresh and standard operation and maintenance support services, which includes remote configuration support, computer imaging, problem and incident analysis and response, customer interfacing, hardware inventory, end user support services, as well as shipping and receiving hardware.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract.  

Experience supporting the Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Experience building/supporting Windows 10 desktops, laptops and required proficiency with supporting software applications including computer utility programs, desktop management, and other desktop maintenance/troubleshooting software.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Works to identify, document and resolve end-user issues and problems encountered on network as well as computer equipment to include peripherals. Responds to assigned tickets within Service Now proving updates as required until resolution.

Coordinates with Warehouse Manager to complete weekly hardware inventory and fulfill computer orders – i.e., new hires, break/fix, loaners, etc.

Provides remote configuration support for new systems as required. Performs weekly pickup and reimage of all offboarding computers. Responsible for the imaging and quality check of all computers to be shipped. Ships and receives hardware and peripherals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree and one to three (1-3) years of experience supporting end-users of networked computers (laptops/desktops) and their related desktop applications.

Associate's degree can be substituted for 2 years of additional experience.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
