Description
The Supply Chain Headquarters for the Global Infectious Diseases Emerging Markets (IDEM) is based in Galway Ireland . The Supply Chain Organisation is responsible for managing the Supply and Demand of Lateral Flow Diagnostic Tests for HIV , Malaria , Hepatitis C , Flu and also now Covid 19. We support a rapidly expanding Business unit within Abbott. We liaise with Manufacturing Units in Japan , Korea, China and Germany amongst many other external Global Suppliers and we serve a Global Customer base across all continents. Our core ERP system is SAP.
The Global Supply Planner is responsible for maximizing product availability while optimizing inventory over the long-term planning horizon for the ARDx IDEM Business Unit. This role ensures the supply plan provided to the manufacturing sites meets customer demand while aligning with the financial strategy, minimizing expiry exposure and optimizing use of manufacturing capacity and resources. The location of this position can either be in Ireland or the APAC region to allow more flexibility to work closely with our APAC manufacturing sites.
