Location: Chesterfield or London, UK (Homebased)

Overview

Within IQVIA’s UK&I Healthcare & Government division, the Insight & Feedback department are experts at developing and implementing tools and strategies to gain insights from staff, patients and service users; and we are the UK’s leading provider in healthcare survey programmes.

At a local level, we work with 250+ individual NHS organisations, collecting real-time data on patient, service user, and staff experience and engagement. Nationally, we run patient and staff survey programmes for NHS England, and the devolved administrations in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. We also deliver some bespoke research projects across the life sciences industry; for all types of healthcare payers and providers; and for charities and Patient Advocacy Groups.

We have a range of survey solutions we can deploy as appropriate:

  • Our Market Research & Consulting team delivers a range of quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies to gather deeper insights; and are experts at developing and testing quantitative questionnaires.

  • Our bespoke Questionnaire Management Platform is typically used for national survey programmes, usually running programmes that combine elements of paper, online, SMS and telephone surveys.

  • IQVIA Connection allows real-time and interactive deployments. Developed and owned by IQVIA, it is entirely configurable to meet clients’ needs, and can be offered either as a fully managed service or a self-service solution.

Job Overview

As a Market Research Analyst, your role will sit in the Market Research and Consultancy team within Insight & Feedback, and will report directly to the Head of Market Research & Consultancy. You will be responsible for a range of duties including data analysis and interpretation, creating client materials, and assisting on analysis and commentary within national NHS survey programmes

The role also includes some administrative/support duties, such as keeping track of all our projects and booking in presentations and interviews. The job role is varied, and there is an expectation for you to manage your own workload to provide support across the Market Research & Consultancy Team and Insight & Feedback Department, where required.

Essential Functions

  • Carries out data analysis and interpretation across all research projects in the Market Research & Consultancy Team.

  • Supports development of defect-free client outputs.

  • Provides high quality support to members of the Market Research & Consultancy Team, which may include (but is not limited to):

    • Creating client materials including presentations and reports.

    • Booking in key clients for presentations or client meetings.

    • Assisting with national programme reporting requirements.

    • Scheduling focus groups/ validating candidates, sending out screeners/pre-tasks (stimuli) for interviews/focus groups, and follow up.

    • Visual checks of documents and validating links/QR codes.

    • Setting up reference documents. Collecting/ chasing information and bringing it together in one document.

  • Supports the Head of Market Research & Consultancy and the rest of the MR&C team.

  • Helps support delivery of detailed documentation and project plans.

  • Develops an awareness of IQVIA technology solutions and how they would be utilised in client scenarios.

  • Works across the team and wider Insight & Feedback Department, where required.

Qualifications

  • Although a degree is not essential, the role would suit a recent graduate who is looking to learn more about consulting in healthcare and the life sciences industry, or someone with relevant work experience.

  • Can-do attitude essential to take on a range of varied tasks.

  • Excellent grasp of English to produce defect-free client materials.

  • Some knowledge of current events and developments within the healthcare industry in the UK and Ireland.

  • Effective time management skills and ability to manage own workload, as well as willingly and effectively working with others in and across the organisation to accomplish team goals. As the role is home-based, much of this will be carried out virtually, so the ability to develop and manage productive working relationships online is an advantage.

  • Excellent organisational skills, and ability to work across multiple projects with different deadlines.
