About the Department

abrdn’s Brand Corporate Affairs and Sustainability function, led by Sarah Moody, Chief Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer, positions our Corporate Sustainability Strategy as a market differentiator. In a time of global challenges, we work to address urgent sustainability issues, looking at both environmental and social dimensions. Our role is to help clients navigate their sustainability goals, lead by example, and collaborate with partners to drive impactful change.

One of the ways we contribute is through the abrdn Charitable Foundation (aCF), focusing on tomorrow’s generation (16-25 years). Our charity partnerships align with two main categories: People and Planet. Under People, we focus on social mobility and breaking down barriers to employment and financial wellbeing. Under Planet, we aim to protect nature and address the impact of cli

mate change.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Social Impact and Partnerships Manager, the aCF Consultant will support the delivery of the charity’s strategy. Working closely with the Corporate Sustainability Team and external consultants, the role involves administering the charitable foundation, managing funding streams, and co-ordinating the preparation of board packs and Directors' resources. Additionally, the aCF Consultant will support the activation of charity partnerships aligned to both People and Planet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the preparation of quarterly papers for the aCF Board meetings with Company Secretariat.

  • Support ad hoc Directors’ meeting preparation and manage meeting actions.

  • Administer the application process, implementation, and activation of all aCF partnerships.

  • Work with the legal team to draft partnership contracts.

  • Develop internal and external communications for new partners.

  • Organise events for partners and regional charity forums.

  • Manage campaign communications (e.g., regional partnership votes).

  • Gather content for the website, social media, and annual sustainability report.

  • Produce a quarterly newsletter highlighting the work of the aCF.

  • Support website development for the aCF page on abrdn.com.
