ASM Global (ASMG) is looking for a Director, Commercial Partnerships, focused on Partner Success, helping to drive value and marketplace impact for our Commercial & Venue Partners, leveraging our global portfolio of 400+ arenas, stadiums, theaters and convention and exhibition centers to deliver the world’s largest live-event marketing platform.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be a commercially creative, solutions-oriented leader

  • Primary day-to-day lead on multiple partner accounts serving as a strategic resource in translating partnership objectives into actionable plans to be implemented across the ASM Global ecosystem

  • Active management of all client deliverables as part of full ASM Global value proposition, including client pipeline support and relevant internal introductions, integration at-scale of client product/ service at venue-level, enterprise & venue-level marketing value points, hospitality access, etc.

  • Develop & execute a business development strategy in collaboration with each respective partner to support an ongoing internal pipeline for their product and/or service by actively driving the due diligence process focusing on venue-level needs

  • Serve as primary point of contact with venue-level colleagues to educate and communicate on partner offerings, solutions and contractual deliverables through ongoing knowledge sharing and hosting webinars and educational series with our partners

  • Lead the ongoing tracking of potential opportunities within the full ASM Global portfolio of venues across all venue types (Arenas, Stadiums, Theaters, Convention Centers, Mixed Use Projects, etc.)

  • Develop applicable KPI’s and annual activation planning by partner along with the corresponding ongoing tracking/reporting systems to enable review with clients on a consistent basis

  • Lead regular cadence of client communications (daily), status meetings (weekly/biweekly) and business review planning (quarterly)

  • Manage all fulfillment costs against budget and applicable billings in coordination with Finance team

  • Develop and present tailored annual partnership recaps

  • Support identifying partner expansion efforts (i.e., territory, category, etc.) and renewal efforts in collaboration with the SVP, Commercial Partnerships

Supervisory Responsibilities           

  • While there are currently no direct reports for this role, given the highly integrated nature of working across different constituents within the organization, this role will be expected to drive influence and collaboration on a daily basis

Education and/or Experience          

  • Bachelors' degree preferred in Marketing, Business or related field

  • 10+ years related work experience, preferably within the sports & entertainment industry

Skills and Abilities  

  • Highly self-motivated, initiative-taking mindset that enables the ability to work independently

  • Very strong business acumen, with both analytical and creative problem-solving skills

  • Enjoys client management and the opportunity to lead accounts

  • Capacity to develop strong, long-term relationships with both external partners and internal stakeholders at local, regional and enterprise level

  • Willingness to learn the underpinnings of the venue management and operations business

  • Desire to become fluent on the individual venue nuances of the ASM Global portfolio and parameters of the different internal divisions to be the most effective advocate for our partners

  • Strong sense of empathy and perspective to assess situations, and in turn solutions, through an informed lens of different facets of our organization

  • Highly organized, with a laser-like focus on the details to proactively manage multiple clients/projects/priorities at once

  • Ability to flex between functional tactics required for implementation in tandem with the broader strategic framework that shapes the value proposition on a client-by-client basis

  • High degree of comfort engaging with and presenting to varied audiences, with the ability to author and edit varying forms of polished communications from scratch

  • Persistence and willingness to actively manage the relationships with both our clients and our internal partners at the venue, regional and enterprise levels

  • Strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products

  • Willingness to travel extensively
