Job Responsibilities

• Day-to-day activities in the pole yard including scheduling production, charges for treatment and scheduling of shipments, with a primary emphasis on SHE compliance, ISO 9001 compliance/maintenance, and production performance.
• Will work closely with outside sales personnel to meet customer needs and also with plant personnel to ensure smooth production flow between ties and poles.  
• The Pole Yard Supervisor will promote and support Koppers goal of Zero Harm and Zero Waste.
• Supervision of pole yard employees

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; BS in Wood Science or Business preferred.
• Relevant supervisory job experience in the manufacturing industry; managerial experience in the timber industry preferred.
• Safety, health and environmental awareness
• Strong organizational and communications skills.
• Team player
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products
