Job Description

The Advanced Emergency Department Technician performs duties of the Emergency Department Technician and other routine duties within the limit of their training and certification in caring for the Emergency Department patients. The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Additional responsibilities may be required.

Experience: Previous experience with EKG, Phlebotomy, and Cardiac Monitoring preferred.

Additional Job Description

Education: High School Degree or GED required

License/Certification:  South Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) required. Advance Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) preferred.  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) required. Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) with American Heart Association (AHA), and NIHSS stroke scale with American Heart Association (AHA) if unit required
