A Brief Overview:
As a Physician – Occ Health, you will play a vital role in delivering prompt and efficient medical care to patients with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Your expertise will help ensure that our community has access to immediate care services when they need it most.
What you will do:
- Providing timely and comprehensive medical care to patients with non-emergent conditions in the immediate care setting.
- Performing initial assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of acute medical conditions, including minor injuries, infections, and common illnesses.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory tests, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Prescribing medications, treatments, and referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including patient history, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
- Communicating effectively with patients and their families, providing information about diagnoses, treatment options, and self-care instructions.
- Collaborating with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high standard of care.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols to enhance the delivery of immediate care services.
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and reporting requirements.
- Addressing and mitigating compliance issues as needed.
What you will need:
- Doctorate Medicine Required
- Prior experience practicing medicine in hospital setting
- Current Illinois medical license Required And
- DEA registration Required
