The Payments Relationships Manager oversees a payment method program for an oil and gas organization, focusing on driving successful program execution to achieve key business objectives. This role is dedicated to building and maintaining productive partnerships with external financial providers, ensuring smooth operations and effective collaboration.  Key responsibilities include fostering strong relationships with partners, proactively addressing challenges, and supplying necessary information to support partner needs. The position demands expertise in partner and channel marketing, with a strategic approach to developing marketing and business development plans that are tightly aligned with company goals.  Ideal candidates will have substantial experience advising on marketing for financial products or payment solutions, and will work closely with market advisors at global, regional, and local levels, as well as with third-party vendors, to deliver seamless program management and impactful marketing results.  

Success in this role requires advanced project management abilities, excellent stakeholder engagement, proactivity, and outstanding communication skills. The Payments Relationships Manager combines strategic vision, proactivity, analytical decision-making, operational rigor, and practical experience deploying marketing strategies across diverse environments.

This professional may also lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support business and program strategy development and execution. 

  • Connect strategy with execution, ensuring business objectives are met. 

  • Oversee program execution, enhancement, and performance to ensure alignment with contractual requirements and business goals.

  • Ensure program operations and compliance, coordinating with appropriate stakeholders. 

  • Act as an account manager and strategic engagement point of contact for partners and providers, maintaining strong, positive relationships and ensuring that their needs are met.

  • Enhance program performance and marketing collaboration among parties.

  • Guarantee timely resolution of issues and escalations, addressing issues, performance and metric awareness.

  • Provide leadership in client-facing situations, pitching proposals, and ideas to relevant stakeholders.

  • Conduct audits and keep track of program controls to ensure compliance. 

  • Address any legal requests coming from providers, partners, or stakeholders. 

  • Generate reports and provide insights on program results to help inform strategic decisions. Develop business analysis, run projections and create business cases to enhance programs' results, understand projects' feasibility, design new strategies, or evaluate new partnerships. 

  • Steward program in the organization. 

  • Ensure program and benefits awareness across the organization and channel.

  • Stay on top of payment methods trends, do benchmarks and competitive analysis.  

Marketing Strategy and Execution:

  • Collaborate with partners and vendors on the creation and execution of marketing plans, including co-branded campaigns, joint events, and content development.

  • Update brand marketing playbook (BMP).

  • Ensure brand adherence in partner/vendor materials. 

  • Lead the development of a channel and consumer go-to-market strategy for the launch of a new program. 

  • Develop, update and/or present materials for stewardship, governance calls, and internal communications.

  • Ensure program has marketing bill of materials. This may include initiatives from crafting program messaging to coordinating with agencies or other internal teams the creation of decks, brochures banners or any other asset that support strategy.

Project Management:

  • Lead the coordination of partner-related projects, including stakeholder management and ensuring the timely execution of deliverables. 

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of partner marketing initiatives, from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of all marketing activities.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party partners to achieve project goals. 

  • Lead and support any special project, using the most appropriate project management methodology (agile, waterfall, hybrid).

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

  • Ensure that the team meets its objectives, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in strategic planning of end-to-end, multichannel marketing campaigns (on/offline marketing) for channel marketing or partner marketing initiatives. OR +3 years managing a medium-to-highcomplexity marketing program.

  • +3 years of experience in crafting marketing strategies and implementing best practices for digital marketing.

  • +2 years of experience as a marketer for financial products or payment methods.

  • +1 year of experience as a team lead. 

  • Impeccable project management skills. Ability to work independently, taking ownership of accounts while also working collaboratively. 1+ years of project management experience is preferred. 

  • Great stakeholder management skills. Experience working with C-level executives is preferred. 

  • English level: C1. Experience working for the US market is preferred.

  • Good presentation skills, desired experience pitching proposals to clients, ability to think on the fly.

  • Able to craft verbal and written tactical recommendations and guidance for marketing professionals.

  • Good time management and prioritization skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized.

  • Experience working within project management and CRM software is preferred. 

  • Experience in a worldwide marketing program and/or working with high-end agencies.

  • Intermediate Excel skills are preferred.
