Your Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Location: Romania - Brasov (on-site)
In this role you will participate in web application software development for utility network management. Our customers are electricity, water and district heating utilities and our products are used in their core processes in network life cycle management.
You will be responsible for defining comprehensive testing scenarios, managing the release testing flow, and architecting automated test frameworks for both the frontend (React) and backend (.NET).
Lead Quality Assurance: Take ownership of the end-to-end quality of the product, ensuring high availability and accuracy for the users;
Test Automation Architecture: Design, build, and maintain robust automated test frameworks. Implement E2E tests for the frontend and integration for the backend using .NET (C#);
API Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive API test suites to verify microservices communication, ensuring data integrity and security. Create test tools where necessary;
Release Flow Management: Design and execute testing scenarios specifically for the release flow, ensuring smooth deployments and preventing regression in critical operational workflows;
Scenario & Script Creation: Translate complex functional requirements into detailed test scenarios and automated scripts;
Test data management: create and maintain test data for various testing tasks;
Manual Testing & Exploratory Testing: Perform advanced manual testing for complex edge cases, particularly in visual network simulations and map-based interactions, where automation may not catch nuanced UI/UX issues;
Mentorship: Mentor junior testers, conducting code reviews for test scripts and guiding them on best practices for automation and manual testing rigor.
Experience: 5+ years in software quality assurance with a strong focus on automation;
Frontend Automation: Expert proficiency with E2E testing frameworks for testing complex Single Page Applications (React);
Backend Automation: Strong experience with .NET / C# for creating test tools, writing backend integration tests and testing RESTful APIs;
Testing Strategy: Proven ability to design test plans for complex release cycles and continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines;
Domain Knowledge: Ability to understand complex domain logic.
Automation Coverage: Significantly increase the percentage of regression tests that are automated;
Release Reliability: Reduction in critical bugs slipping into production releases;
Test Efficiency: Reduced cycle time for testing through effective automation and optimized manual test scripts.
