JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose
This role serves as the single point of contact for vendor performance. Works with corporate and CMU vendors to align with Sysco best practices and policy requirements, to drive inbound and outbound fill rate, spoilage, and operational efficiency. Owner of escalations on vendor service level penalties
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between CSC and field merchandising to provide support and resources to enhance ability to operate the business and execute flawlessly for the customer.
- Oversees administration of the Vendor Policy including fill rates, Allied Reclamation, Lumper Fees
- Acts as a subject matter expert to interpret the fees to vendors.
- Negotiates reductions in penalties where appropriate and administers the repayments.
- Works with vendors to reduce service policies through Sysco's data programs to improve forecasting accuracy, scanning, palletization, PO confirmations.
- Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
- Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management within the foodservice or distribution industry.
- Minimum 3-year experience.
- High School Education or GED equivalent required, combination of education and experience is considered.
- College diploma preferred.
- Procurement or supply chain designation an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook & Excel
- Experience with AS400 an asset
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
