Position Responsibilities:

  • Technology / Administration support:
    • Administration Support – Responsible for IT access rights submission and follows-up for Finance members including but not limited to  new joiners/transfer, support with engagement activities including Sharepoint, Yammer, Email communications.

Qualifications

Fluency in English and Japanese written and verbal communication skills. 7+ years of working experience with progressive responsibility within the Accounting and management reporting field. Accounting University degree in accounting, finance, or business management. CA/CPA qualification, preferred. Knowledge of Japanese generally accepted accounting principles (“JGAAP”) and International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”) are preferred. Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e. mastery of excel formulas and pivot tables is a must; VBA is a plus). Proficient in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word and Power Point. Keen attention to details and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience in a shared service set-up and transition experience is an advantage Excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid interpersonal skills to interact and establish relationships with the international business units. Ability to work effectively across cultures Ability to makes sound decisions in the absence of rules and /or in complex situations Ability to work in ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines. Makes recommendations for process improvements and compile ad hoc accounting and analyses for other business partners. Support administrative tasks, including documentation management, meeting coordination, and team-level reporting. Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing. Others

  • Support and review ad hoc reporting requests from business units and senior management.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports tailored to internal and external stakeholder needs. Lead variance analysis and provide strategic insights to support decision-making. Treasury Operations – responsible in ensure successful payment process in Finance through the Lawson Accounts Payable and Cash Book system. Management Reporting Lead and oversee advanced accounting activities, including preparation and review of standard and non-standard journal entries. Ensure accuracy and completeness of complex general ledger reconciliations. Analyze financial results, identify anomalies, and provide high-level commentary and insights. Perform quality control on junior members’ outputs, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
