Description
We are announcing an opening for the position of Supply Planner. This vacancy has arisen due to the internal promotion of our current Suppy Planner. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team and continue driving our continuous improvement and customer experience enhancement efforts forward. This role offers a high visibility and further short to mid-term career opportunities. The position holder will report to the manager of SCM and will work closely with all SCM functions (Japan & Global), Procurement, QC, Finance, Commercial and external business partners.
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and execute supply plans based on demand forecasts to ensure product availability
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products fully utilize SAP MRP function
Optimize inventory levels to reduce excess stock and improve turnover rates. Implement inventory control techniques such as safety stock calculations
Analyze demand forecasts and adjust supply strategies accordingly
Support for New Products: Assist in the launch of new products and the phase-out of obsolete ones
Analyze data and present the findings to management and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
Create and maintain SCM dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI
Roll out Global initiatives and share best practices
Lead cross-functional project teams to take concrete actions to turn opportunities into realizations
Ensure all supply chain activities comply with regulatory requirements and quality standards. This includes maintaining documentation and records for audits and inspections
Support the manager of SCM on projects and when there is an ad hoc need
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt) are beneficial
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain analysis or planning by SAP, with a preference for experience in the medical device industry
Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems, effective communication skills, and a thorough understanding of quality and regulatory standards
Strong sense of ownership and proactiveness
Strong cross-functional understanding (Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Quality, Regulatory Affairs etc)
Growth mindset
Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated customer- and result-oriented approach
Good analytical thinking capabilities and cost-consciousness
Proficient in English (must be able to communicate also verbally with Global colleagues)
