Our Project Managers drive global, cross-functional teams, from business award through product launch to successfully deliver advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to enhance vehicle safety within the consumer market with ground-breaking technology. The PM will drive & own E2E program planning and execution including program P&L margins; ensure high customer satisfaction for programs delivered.
Your Role:
· Support project execution from business award through end-of-life for a particular set of vehicle programs or products.
· Champion Overall Project Plan, Reviews, and milestones.
· Risk Management through cross-functional problem solving and mitigation strategy development
· Support in Change Management to ensure any and all costs associated with a change are captured and quoted to maintain program profitability.
· Champion cross-functional team discussions to ensure cooperation with the relevant technical experts (Engineering Project Leader, Quality, Sales, SCM, Manufacturing, etc..) is achieved to drive expected progress of product development and achieve overall project milestones
· Assess critical path and project risks/issues while aligning with stakeholders to deliver flawless execution
· Develop relationship with customer and engage with regularly for all Project activity
· Effectively manage customer and ensure communication alignment between stakeholders
· Prepare status reports for assigned project activities (Executive Reports, open issues/key actions, critical path, issues/risk, progress vs. KPI’s, etc.)
· Escalate risks/issues as needed to protect project commitments
· Ensure proper staffing is in alignment with key areas - resource planning/projects goals
· Meet investment spending and financial statistics from Project Award through CAPEX planning and tracking and spend contribution
· Lead by example to develop a “one team” mindset and environment
· Must be a team player; must demonstrate a willingness to work with and assist colleagues, focusing on continuous improvement of project quality, processes and relationships
· Willingness to Identify and communicate opportunities to streamline work cadence/reduce inefficiencies
· Provide input into Customer Sales Lead / Product org on key features to incorporate into the product roadmap
· Support the Customer Sales Lead in their pursuits by providing input on feasibility, coast and timing associated with programs
· Support in providing project forecast to feed into budget and financial planning,
Your Background:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance or equivalent relevant experience
· Previous project / program development experience within automotive
· Proficient in MS excel, PowerPoint, MS project, and MS word
· Strong organization, planning and follow up skills
· Strong presentation skills
· Excellent team player and ability to work effectively with others
· Ability to demonstrate and communicate a methodical and analytical approach to problem solving
