Job Summary

The Spring Marketing Intern will support Wyndham Destinations’ community marketing efforts by assisting with promotional activities at popular local attractions such as malls, theme parks, and community events like trade shows, festivals, and conferences. This internship offers hands-on experience in brand representation, customer engagement, and event-based marketing strategies. Interns will learn how to connect with prospective customers, share information about the vacation club experience, and support initiatives that drive attendance at award-winning vacation ownership presentations.

Essential Internship Responsibilities

  • Serve as a positive and professional brand ambassador for Wyndham Destinations.
  • Assist in greeting and engaging prospective customers at marketing locations and events.
  • Support the team in screening and qualifying potential customers based on company guidelines.
  • Help schedule sales-tour reservations and learn the process for collecting required deposits.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for marketing strategies and event planning.

Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:

  • Assist with on-site marketing activities and customer engagement in accordance with company policies and compliance standards.
  • Attend scheduled training sessions, department meetings, and stay current on marketing materials and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to review performance goals and contribute ideas for improvement.

Travel Requirements

No travel required outside of the home site’s area.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Interest in marketing, sales, or hospitality fields.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be available for flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed for events.

Education

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred).

Training Requirements

  • On-the-job training provided; no prior experience required.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, shared space environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Technical Skills

  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and general computer skills.
  • Comfortable using smart devices for scheduling and communication.

Job Experience

  • Previous experience in marketing, sales, or customer service is a plus but not required.
