Position summary:

This role will drive the development of high-impact visual communications that support a wide range of company initiatives, including internal communications, leadership messaging, events and newsletters. This role will work independently and collaboratively with the Strategic Communications Team and cross-functional teams to ensure creative communications align with strategic business objectives, elevate brand perception and inspire internal and external audiences.

This is a remote role with preference on location being Michigan, Illinois, Washington, California.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within the Strategic Communications team and across functions to execute and produce creative graphic solutions
  • Generate and update content for existing communication vehicles, to include newsletters, intranet sites, television monitors and others as appropriate
  • Ensure communication is consistent and reflects the brand standards, mission, values, culture and strategic priorities of the organization
  • Ensure that design is consistent with the company’s corporate brand guidelines
  • Work with members of the Communications team on employee communications, leadership messaging, design projects and event materials
  • Work closely with the Creative Team to build relationships and collaborate on larger initiatives, such as Sales Meeting, while also supporting customer-facing projects as a secondary focus when capacity allows.
  • Translate messaging into visually engaging stories—using layout, typography, imagery and design elements to bring concepts to life and connect with our audience, while communicating complex ideas clearly and creatively
  • Update and maintain internal design files for shared access
  • Proactively seek, embrace and develop collaborative relationships working alongside cross-functional partners in a highly matrixed and regulated global environment
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve design deliverables
  • Implement new communications vehicles and establish process for ongoing content generation
  • Serve as an advisor to internal functions on communication design best practices
  • Identify and prioritize communications projects to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Proactively communicate project status and issues to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Respond to routine inquiries for information
  • Stay abreast of company developments and trends

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 0+ years of work experience required
  • Possess a compelling portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and demonstrating your creative capabilities
  • Must be a creative thinker with strong knowledge of layout and graphic design principles
  • Can translate raw content, data and stories into compelling visual communications, including presentations, infographics and storyboards
  • Visual storyteller

Preferred Experience:

  • Preferred technology experience includes proficient use of PowerPoint design, Publisher, MS Word, and Adobe Creative suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.  Knowledge of Marketo, SharePoint and digital signage platforms are desirable
  • Knowledge of processes used by print vendors a plus
  • Knowledge of HTML desirable

*$58,700 - $106,200 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.*

Travel Percentage: 20%
