• Process trade-related transactions (such as import and export bills, issuance of SBLCs, Bankers’ Guarantees, etc.) accurately & timely, and ensure compliance with established SOPs, controls and regulations.
• Monitor and ensure that trade transactions are processed within clients’ approved limits / facilities.
• Review and check all documentation relating to trade finance conscientiously and accurately (i.e. ensure all transactions processed are properly recorded / authorized and required documentations are obtained for audit purposes).
• Review daily/monthly trade finance exposure reports and ensure that all exceptions highlighted in the reports are addressed timely.
• Perform reconciliation of outstanding Nostro items / suspense account.
• Conduct due diligence checks for Trade Finance transactions.
• Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports accurately and meet the submission deadlines.
• Provide prompt response to queries from internal and external stakeholders
• Update existing SOPs to include amended and/or new work processes.
• Streamline and improve current work process to achieve work efficiency and cost savings.
• Provide effective relief for the team members / manager in Trade Finance Team.
• Escalate potential operational issues, provide recommendations and suggestions for processes and workflows for SOP to deliver daily tasks efficiently and to mitigate risk effectively.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and support business initiatives, and User Acceptance Testing when required. Prepare test scripts based on the agreed finalized requirements in Scope of Work and User’s Requirements.
