The Data Governance SVP is responsible for supporting the building, execution, enablement and adoption of the Banking & International Data Transformation Plan, including support of use cases through collaboration with functions, regions and lines of business. This role partners with a range of stakeholders, including senior management, and engages in cross functional collaboration to achieve outcomes. 

An ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, along with strong interpersonal skills and project management expertise are required.

Responsibilities:  

  • Standup, Standardize and manage cross cluster governance forums for Banking and International. Build the content for various forums, capture actions, escalations and key next steps for the senior audience. Gather, synthesize and distill detailed information to deliver executive-level communication
  • Support all aspects of execution including project management, PMO oversight, status reporting, leading governance forums, producing written updates for the relevant audience e.g. Board, Regulator and executive governance forums
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects plans including delivery actions and escalations for the cluster. Lead the facilitation, coordination and execution of projects for cross-functional complex problems within / across programs
  • Proactively liaise with senior stakeholders across Business lines and Functions to design and execute Transformation plan commitments, drive alignment on execution steps and timing, and/or support adoption of enterprise approaches and guidelines
  • Drive communication strategy, build partnership and execution among a wide variety of stakeholders, including Data providers, Data consumers, technologists, regulators, and 2nd and 3rd line of defense to drive the effective execution of the Data transformation plan

Qualifications: 

  • 15+ years of experience, Banking or Finance industry preferred. Prior strategy consulting experience with a focus on change management and program delivery preferred.
  • Exceptional communicator, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels. Expert at written updates for board and regulators, skilled at storytelling and visualizing complex/ambiguous concepts
  • Exceptional knowledge of storyboarding, power point presentations and senior level white paper writing
  • Strong business analysis competency with historic success in shaping opportunities via conceptual thinking and abstract problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience of managing large scale projects leveraging PTS will be highly advantageous  
  • Collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives
  • Exceptional negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills across a variety of stakeholders at different levels
  • Organizational savvy; understands systems, management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret them.
  • Working knowledge of Citi’s Data Operating Model will be advantageous

 Education: 

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
