The Specialist Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team to cover Long Service Leave from October 2025 to the 26th of March 2026. This is a part time, fixed term opportunity with set days of Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 24 hours per week.

About the Department
Specialist clinics provide over 90,000 non admitted patient appointments per year across 20 different medical and surgical specialties, and receive 26,000 new referrals per annum. Specialist clinics provide a gateway to the hospital for patients requiring elective surgery and ongoing chronic disease management. Our major referral base is via General Practitioners from all areas of Victoria.
The responsibilities of this position are isolated to the nursing requirements of the clinics on the day such as attending to the coordination/flow of clinics and clinical duties within the clinics (e.g. dressings, plaster management, patients with complex needs from high care facilities, light testing etc.).
Classifications for this position will range between YP3 - YP11 ($67,236.00 - $89,902.80 base salary per annum - pro rata for part time work)
Duties
Coordinates the flow of all patients through Specialist Clinics on the day of their appointment, providing clinical oversight to patients waiting for their appointment
Attends to all clinical requirements of the patients in Specialist clinics (dressings, plaster management, patients with complex needs from high care facilities, light testing etc.)
Liaise with Clerical, Medical and Allied health staff in clinic and with the Case Management team regarding discharges and failed to attend patients
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Bachelor of Nursing, which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
OR.
Certificate IV in Health (Nursing) or Diploma in Nursing which meets the requirements of the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
OR
Certificate IV in Health (Nursing) or Diploma in Nursing inclusive of the administration of medication which meets the requirements of the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia through AHPRA.
