We are hiring a Assistant Store Manager to lead our Washington D.C., Georgetown team.
Our Retail team creates a transformative experience for each and every customer that visits one of our seventeen stores. We build connections with our customers through product education, world-class-service standards, and operational excellence. We pride ourselves in owning the offline touch point for our brand, and use it as an opportunity to foster a stronger bond with loyal Away fans.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a widely celebrated brand that is looking to continue to innovate and iterate. We’re looking for candidates that are excited to provide best-in-class support to all of our customers from their arrival, and until their departure.
You'll ensure your team is providing top-notch customer service to every person, every time
You'll communicate Away’s values and brand philosophy to customers and team members alike
You'll develop, execute, and continuously improve all operational activities to make sure the store hits financial expectations and exceeds customer expectations
You'll work cross-functionally to ensure the store is a hit! Work across the aisle with marketing, CX, creative, and HQ partners to make sure we create exemplary retail experiences
You’ll retain and develop your team of retail associates, growing them into our next generation of retail leaders
You’ll oversee daily staffing, inventory management, and visual standards; as well as all front of house and back of house procedures to keep the store’s engine efficiently running.
You’ll help execute any in-store marketing or community programming events by acting as a liaison with HQ team members
You’re a top performer with a deep understanding of elevated customer experience
You have a minimum of two years in a managerial position, preferably at a customer-centric retailer or company
You have precise attention to detail, strong business acumen, and an entrepreneurial mindset
You’re passionate about people development and have a knack for motivation
You’re creative and innovative; you love to build great new things that are fresh and unique while staying on brand
You’re agile, and motivated by a fast-paced and ever changing environment
You’re passionate about transforming travel for all (but that’s a given!)
You’re able to pull, push, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds throughout the duration of a work shift
You’re able to stand/be on feet for extended periods of time throughout the duration of a work shift
You’re able to bend, squat, twist, and reach as needed throughout the duration of a work shift

Our total rewards are inclusive of both compensation and benefits. What we offer within a salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Away employees. Salary and benefit offerings are reviewed during phone screenings to ensure alignment.
Salary Range: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 annually (Non-Exempt)
This role is eligible to participate in Away’s Retail Incentive Bonus Plan, the terms of which are determined on an basis at the discretion of the company
