About This Role:

As an Associate Director - Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in our Financial Planning & Management Reporting team. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and coordination of financial processes, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), periodic forecasts, and Long Range Plans (LRP). Your role extends to managing results for the Business Area/Affiliate and reporting to both the local and regional teams. You will also conduct ad hoc analyses for business cases such as new product launches and other developmental projects. This position is integral to driving strategic financial insights and supporting decision-making that aligns with our business goals. You will fit into our dynamic matrix organization, contributing to both local and international finance strategies.

This role reports to the Head of Finance for International Partner Markets.

The role requires occasional travels.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage all aspects of financial planning and consolidation for annual budgets, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans in coordination with affiliates and regional teams.
  • Support effective business planning processes by designing analytics to foster leadership and informed decision-making.
  • Prepare user-friendly and focused Forecast/reporting Templates to enhance understanding of financial drivers and performance indicators.
  • Design analytics to optimize resource allocation and trade-off decisions.
  • Lead financial assessments for new product launches and innovations.
  • Monitor ongoing business performance against plans/forecasts, keeping leadership informed of variations and proposing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate business analytics with the CMI team to provide comprehensive insights.
  • Act as a finance business partner to the GM and TA leads, capturing risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain and further develop standard financial reporting systems to meet regional and parent company requirements.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement by enhancing internal processes and participating in cross-department projects.
  • Lead local initiatives for new business planning system releases.
  • Manage month-end closing processes including sales validation, headcount control, and accruals governance.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
  • At least five years of experience in FP&A.
  • Experience in controllership area (US GAAP and local GAAP).
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office, Oracle, Hyperion, or comparable systems).

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA, CPA, or MSA or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience working for US multinational companies is a plus.
  • Experience in Business Area/Affiliate pharmaceutical markets is an asset.
  • Experience in transformation and strong change management aptitude.
