About the role:

Fantastic 12-month opportunity to support the Operations Credit Risk & Loans team by ensuring appropriate and adequate credit and operational facility management is in place for MUFG Oceania. This role also includes assisting the Loans Operations team with managing workflow and completion of all loans administration.  

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist Operations team as part of First Line of Defence to monitor and report compliance with credit policy, regulatory requirements, and various other internal risk controls.

  • Fulfill various reporting requirements and credit administration and controls. 

  • Support internal and external audits within the department by preparing documentation as required.   

  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws, and regulations.

  • Ensure that loans administration is completed accurately and within agreed timeframes, including drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, and fee invoicing & collections.  

  • Ensure all loans administration reports, and general ledger suspense and interest accrual accounts are prepared, actioned, monitored and that all outstanding items are being investigated, followed up and cleared within a timely manner.

  • Report and escalate operational risk events.

  • Build and maintain good working relations and open communications with customers/external counterparties to provide a high level of service and professionalism.

What we are looking for:

This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in banking.  Some previous banking experience or knowledge is desirable, but not required.  We are looking for someone who is eager and enthusiastic, flexible and keen to get involved and learn.  On-the-job training will be provided.

You’ll have good communication and presentation skills and a client-centric approach.  You will be highly organised, with an ability to multitask and work autonomously and proactively.  Strong attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills are essential.

You’ll likely have a Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
