MUFG, a globally respected financial institution, is seeking an Associate to join their Planning and Administration team in its Transaction Banking Office for Asia (TBOA) based in Singapore. What you'll do:

As an Associate, you will immerse yourself in a multifaceted role that spans strategic planning, financial analysis, administrative coordination, marketing support, and people engagement. Your daily activities will involve collaborating with various teams across the APAC region and will include -

  • Support the planning, control, forecasting, and reporting of budgets, expenses, and headcount periodically or as required for Singapore and the wider APAC region.
  • Prepare management meeting materials on an ad hoc basis to ensure effective communication of key information to senior stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing strategies for the Transaction Banking Office for Asia by maintaining oversight of budgetary data and headcount considerations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyse financial information related to transaction banking business performance.
  • Monitor and update business projections regularly to provide accurate insights into future trends and opportunities.
  • Enhance Management Information System (MIS) availability and visibility by working closely with Head Office teams as well as local sales and product teams.
  • Initiate or support marketing events and related tasks as needed to promote business initiatives within the region.
  • Provide operational support for MIS-related activities tied to business promotion efforts when required.
  • Guide and drive day-to-day administrative work while streamlining internal procedures for greater efficiency across teams.
  • Drive improvements in people engagement by supporting both internal and external events as well as training sessions.

What you bring:

To excel in this role, your background should reflect solid experience within financial services or similar sectors where planning functions are integral along with your proven expertise in using Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and report generation alongside practical knowledge of MIS reporting.

  • A degree in Business, Economics, Accountancy, Finance or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.
  • At least three years’ experience working within a financial institution or in a planning function where analytical thinking was essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Management Information System (MIS) reporting processes that drive informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, and PowerPoint for presentation creation.
  • Excellent time management abilities that allow you to effectively handle both routine business-as-usual tasks and ad hoc project assignments.
  • Proven experience in problem-solving within complex organisational structures or fast-evolving environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Management Information System (MIS) reporting processes that drive informed decision-making.
  • Previous exposure to administrative responsibilities involving cross-functional collaboration or multi-region coordination.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster dependable relationships with colleagues across different departments or geographies.
  • A track record of supporting marketing events or business promotion initiatives within large organisations is highly desirable.
  • Experience guiding process improvements or streamlining administrative workflows would be advantageous.
