KEY JOB ACTIVITIES (IMPORTANT TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES)

  • Purchasing analysis to ensure the correct mix of categories, annual increases in line with company growth, and external client budgets.
  • Pre-season coverage analysis through database management to review and audit purchases based on system reports (Tableau & Omnia).
  • Evaluation and reconciliation of wholesale purchases vs. budget (Open to Buy), growth vs. previous season, and customer mix, in coordination with the Planning team.
  • Review and tracking of merchandise delivery dates from countries of origin, as well as preparation of compliance reports for external suppliers (factories).
  • Communication with factories in Asia to ensure product delivery in accordance with agreed-upon dates.
  • Coordination with external suppliers (forwarders) to review itineraries, bookings, and shipments from Asia.
  • Internal communication (Sales, Merchandising, Planning)

SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES / BUDGETING / EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION

  • External communication with Carters USA teams (Operations, Merchandising, Planning, Global Sourcing, Factories in Asia)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR JOB PERFORMANCE)

  • Strong analytical skills, teamwork, negotiation, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and advanced Excel skills.
  • Conversational English level.

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, International Business, or a related field.
  • +2 years of experience (preferred)
