About the role:

As a Senior Accountant at Nirvana, you will play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization while expanding your accounting expertise.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare required schedules to manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (e.g. Revenue, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Cash)

  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

  • Oversee and assist in managing the tax function with our external tax consultants

  • Assist in the maintenance of all accounting and finance software (Netsuite, Brex, BILL, Navan, etc. ) and other financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy 

  • Provide audit readiness support as the company prepares for it’s first external audit

  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred

  • 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred but not required

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements

  • Proficiency in NetSuite preferred but not required

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
