Join Linklaters as a Junior Regulatory Compliance Specialist and become part of our global Legal & Risk team. In this entry-level role, you will support our in-house lawyers in managing regulatory risk and ensuring the firm meets legal and professional standards worldwide. You will gain hands-on experience advising teams across the business, helping to protect Linklaters’ reputation and drive global compliance on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for:
1st line execution of the selected Regulatory Compliance workstreams, support to RegCom lawyers:
Providing support to Regulatory Compliance lawyers in Warsaw, Singapore and London. This includes putting forward ideas / drafts for improvements.
Maintaining know-how resources.
Conducting research on professional rules and regulations.
Conducting document reviews in relation to investigations (or otherwise).
Support to lawyers in the Staff Outside Interests workstream:
Assessing Outside Interest non-partner applications based on the approved policy, actively identifying and pursuing missing information.
Acting to resolve issues by direct communication with the relevant stakeholders in the practice or business teams.
Putting forward recommendations for due diligence actions and for OI approval or refusal.
Execution of the clients’ Due Diligence workstream:
Developing and delivering responses to the client due diligence questionnaires and pitches, in the respective expertise areas.
Directly engaging with clients on due diligence audits, discussing compliance requirements with the clients as part of due diligence audits, resolving audit findings where appropriate.
Insider Lists:
Coordinating the creation of Insider Lists, directly communicating with internal teams, the practice, and the authorities - where required – to understand their complex and case-by-case requirements and actively develop solutions aimed at full compliance and work efficiency. Delivering these solutions.
Dealing with non-standard IT query escalations:
Independently dealing with non-standard queries that are escalated to them, based on guidance from lawyers.
Researching, communicating with senior stakeholders, supporting decision-making in complex cases.
Confidentiality / inadvertent disclosure / unusual activity incidents:
Dealing with inadvertent disclosure of data incidents, ensuring they are managed in line with the firm’s policies, supporting RegCom lawyers in complex cases.
Data Destruction requests:
Coordinating data destruction request processing, ensuring all teams engaged in the process follow the firm’s policies and all data is deleted in line with the policies.
Incident Register:
Identifying incidents, drafting internal reports and recording reports in the firm’s Risk Register.
TPAs, Secondments – advice to the practice:
Advising the practice on non-standard third party terms, based on knowledge of the firm’s policies.

This role involves a degree of judgment in balancing the firm’s legal obligations with its commercial imperatives.
Our Ideal Candidate
Degree in law (or equivalent) or graduation from another relevant field. Final year students are also welcome to apply.
Ideally, some experience in a law firm, consultancy, or in-house compliance support role. Relevant internship or work experience is also valued.
Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and comfortable learning new systems.
Able to organise and prioritise multiple projects, often within tight deadlines.
Clear communicator, confident working with both junior and senior team members.
Strong problem-solving skills, able to deliver practical and creative solutions.
Adaptable to working with people from diverse cultures.
Team-oriented, and proactive in building positive working relationships.
