What's the Role About?

The Team Member in the Receiving Team is a crucial role responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of all inbound packages. Reporting to the Receiving Team Leader, this position involves breaking down shipments, verifying contents, and entering data into the system accurately. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency

Key Responsibilities:

Inbound Package Handling:

  • Receive and unload all inbound packages, ensuring they are handled safely and efficiently.
  • Verify the contents of each shipment against the accompanying documentation to ensure accuracy.

Shipment Breakdown:

  • Accurately break down shipments, sorting and organizing items based on predefined categories and priorities.
  • Inspect packages for any signs of damage and report any discrepancies or issues to the Receiving Team Leader.

Data Entry:

  • Enter shipment data into the system accurately and promptly, maintaining UpToDate records of all received items.
  • Ensure that all data entry tasks comply with company standards and procedures.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by promptly and accurately updating the system with received items.
  • Coordinate with the Inventory Manager to resolve any discrepancies or issues with stock levels.

Quality Assurance:

  • Follow all quality assurance protocols to ensure that received items meet company standards and are free from defects.
  • Participate in regular audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records and data entry.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient and effective handling of all inbound shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with the Receiving Team Leader and other departments to resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to receiving and handling shipments.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided on-site.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to follow defined processes and procedures accurately.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Basic proficiency in using computers and inventory management systems.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing for extended periods and handling devices.
