Job Description:

Location: This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and 1-2 days in office per week.

**The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles and a 1-hour commute to one of our Elevance Health major office (PulsePoint) locations. Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.

The Financial Analyst Senior is responsible for preparing financial and business related analyses and researching in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, business improvement, and business investment opportunities.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Compiles and prepares standard and ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Manage AR reconciliations and reporting, assist with preparation of budgets, forecasts, trend analyses, aging reports, expense accruals, etc.
  • Provides information for various monthly reconciliations.
  • Compiles and prepares standard and ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Have experience with large data sets to be able to manipulate and understand it to create and communicate conclusions for the finance team.
  • Become a leader within the accounts receivable team to mentor other employees.
  • Be able to reconcile and assist for payments received against patient and payer receivables.
  • Ability to generate ad-hoc reports quickly and accurately for Finance team.
  • Create business performance metrics and create ways to measure them.
  • Ability to quickly learn database tools to generate data and analytics.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS in accounting or finance and a minimum of 1 year of experience in general accounting, financial planning, and management reporting or an approved Finance internship; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Candidate has preferably worked in the pharmacy industry (specifically mail-order pharmacy) however not required.
  • Individual would preferably have a background in accounts receivable collections for which they will help implement controls and processes.
  • Ability to work easily and assist training with other accounts receivable employees.
  • Opportunity to assist in designing a reconciliation software for receivables and implement the live version of the software.
  • Have flexibility to take on projects to generate quality reporting for Finance team leaders.
