The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Akron General’s Center for Family Medicine and Internal Medicine departments will oversee daily operations ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, quality care, and team collaboration. This position plays a critical role in supporting the realignment of leadership responsibilities, ensuring adequate oversight across both departments, and maintaining safe, efficient daily operations. This role will strengthen operational alignment, enhance staff support, and improve workflow management within the ambulatory setting. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include creating schedules, recruiting, creating visual management boards, rounding, training, and managing teams in different practice locations. Your goals will be to ensure a high reliability practice and safely care for patients.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized and experienced nurse leader who is easily able to adapt to different environments. This role requires exceptional clinical judgment, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
