Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Unix/Linux Administrator (L2) to manage and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8 & 9) environments hosted on Microsoft Azure. This role requires deep expertise in automation, patch management, identity services, and vulnerability remediation to ensure system reliability, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and manage RHEL 8/9 servers in Microsoft Azure, including provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
• Perform patch and lifecycle management using Red Hat Satellite, ensuring system compliance.
• Design and implement automation workflows using Red Hat Ansible, including playbooks, roles, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and maintain Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) and centralized authentication.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Unix Bind DNS services.
• Manage JSCPAE (SFTP/FTP) file share services for secure and compliant data transfers.
• Conduct vulnerability management: assessment, reporting, and remediation planning.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, and operations teams to align with organizational compliance standards.
• Provide incident management, root cause analysis, and advanced troubleshooting support in a 24x7 environment.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
Technical Experience:
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9) administration.
• Strong expertise with Red Hat Satellite for patching and subscription management.
• Advanced Ansible automation skills: playbook creation, orchestration, and CI/CD integration.
• In-depth knowledge of Red Hat IdM/LDAP for access and authentication management.
• Experience managing DNS (Bind) and secure file transfer services (JSCPAE, SFTP/FTP).
• Proficiency in Azure administration: VM management, VNets, NSGs, Azure Monitor, Backup, and Recovery Vault.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management tools and processes.
• Advanced troubleshooting of Linux performance, networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls), and incident resolution.
• Shell scripting (Bash) or equivalent scripting experience for automation and operational efficiencies.

Additional Information
Experience with Azure-native tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Backup, Recovery Vault) is a plus.
Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2) is advantageous.
