Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new software and web applications using Python and Golang
- Work with Cassandra, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL databases, and cloud infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure
- Design and develop RESTful APIs
- Support applications under development and customize current applications
- Assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications
- Document all development activity
- Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products
- Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements
- Conduct analysis to determine integration needs
- Display in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty
- Display in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, process design, and redesign skills;
- present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences
- Work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specifications and technical requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field,
- Prior 5+ years of experience in software engineering with one of programming languages: Python, Golang, Java; working with Cassandra, MongoDB, or any other NoSQL database; of which two (2) year of experience includes working with cloud infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure; developing RESTful APIs; and developing software using Golang, Python.
