Summary
 

Advises internal clients of the best ways to reach their customers using content marketing strategies, promoting communication solutions with emphasis on content marketing using innovative technology or tools to meet business goals. Designs, writes, and/or edits all materials to include communications with internal and external audiences (members, clients, prospects and agents/brokers/consultants, internal associates, healthcare providers, and other represented populations). Responsible for the design and layout of publications or may work with designers to come up with concepts for design/layout of materials/publications. Responsible for maintenance of information on the division's website/intranet site.

What You'll Do:

  • Creates internal/external communication plans and print and digital communications content for the company, subsidiaries, subscribers, etc. that align with corporate and/or line of business marketing goals. Ensures all content has been reviewed and approved for grammar and spelling accuracy, adherence to corporate style, and brand compliance. Edits copy and proofs design and assists with the design direction of materials.

  • Manages specific client relationships, counseling and advising them on the best ways to use content marketing strategies to achieve their business goals. Meets with clients to assess their needs and makes recommendations. Updates clients, tracks and reports on client activities, and maintains accurate client records. Works with business partners, colleagues, customer, etc. to identity business needs and may work closely with management to develop high quality proposals. Researches and identifies available reference sources to successfully complete projects. May assist with special events/meetings and promotional efforts. Coordinates approval with Corporate Communications to ensure all guidelines are met with respect to proper usage of logos and brand rules.

  • Creates/writes/edits/updates and manages content on the division’s internal and/or external websites.


Required Education:

Bachelor's in a job-related field


Required Work Experience:

5 years of communications, marketing or publications experience to include writing communications/advertisement materials.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Effective organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Good judgment. Effective customer service skills. Demonstrated excellent proficiency in editing/writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. Strong business math proficiency. Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others. Analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion. Ability to explain, organize, and simplify complex information for specific target audiences.


Required Software and Other Tools:

Microsoft Office.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor's degree-Communications/Journalism, Public Relations, English, or other job-related field.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

Effective presentation skills. Computer programming skills. Familiarity with AP writing style.

Preferred Software and Other Tools:

Familiarity with desktop publishing software such as Adobe, in design. Working knowledge of WebSphere or other web content management tools.
