Job Purpose:

His/her mission is to work closely with the business stakeholders and lead the process in defining, answering business questions and implementing innovative solutions arising from business questions that can be answered with analytics/AI. Through doing this, this individual will generate impact and value through Data and Analytics by translating requirements between business questions and analytical hypotheses into tangible actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the business question process from identification through to implementation including validation.
  • Structure and identify the main business problems that data and analytics can help solve
  • Work as a partner and challenge the business manager by asking the right questions
  • Provides information to the business partner in terms of what the "methodology state" looks like in data and analytics
  • Understands the strategic needs of the business and is able to translate the need into possible new use cases
  • Build a deep knowledge of the product/functional area with which the business partner is aligned
  • Act as a link between business and the technical team, define acceptance criteria for the development team and help them decipher what to build
  • Acts as the key contact within business to define new use cases and supports use case deployment teams
  • Responsible for delivering analytical projects on time by pushing and unlocking the team when needed
  • Develop and communicate delivery goals, strategies, tactics, project plans, deadlines and key performance metrics to achieve goals

Basic Qualification:

Skill

  • Excellent strategic and critical thinking skills to lead strategic discussions.
  • Strong leadership/ownership and project management skills for leading projects in complex business environment and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent bilingual interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills - able to develop well-structured communications and presentations, storytelling ability
  • High governance mind-set and understanding.

Experience

  • More than 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, or Product Management (Technology/ Pharmaceuticals)

Education/Certification/Language

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Statistics or Computer Science)
  • Japanese: Native level / English: Business level (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualification:

Education/Certification/Language

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (business, mathematics, economics, finance, statistics, science, engineering) with a Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Economics or Finance
