Position Overview

The Director of Operations, reporting to the Managing Director of External Affairs and Operations, will lead the department in the operational, administrative, and allocation of task and resources needed to effectively run operations for the City Year Tulsa site.

Job Description

Site Technology Management 

  • Design and lead strategic information and technology (IT) plans for the site in conjunction with City Year Inc (HQ)

  • Direct and support changes in IT as needed for teams, site, and headquarters requests and needs 

  • Collaborate between vendors, HQ IT, and City Year Tulsa staff and AmeriCorps in IT demands year over year. 

  • Lead in hardware and software systems to ensure strong hybrid and remote opportunities for site and national organization needs 

Site Operations Management 

  • Define, implement and revise operational policies to ensure successfully meeting City Year Tulsa and headquarters changes and needs 

  • Identify areas for operational improvements and drive continual improvements of processes for the operations team.  

  • Lead the operations team to ensure good operations of all office equipment, customer service for needs, and office transitions.  

  • Ensure Operational Logistics such as equipping and orientating new staff into City Year by supporting the people point to develop and implement people strategies 

  • Support team in onboarding of AmeriCorps members to ensure a strong start of service 

Site Expense Management 

  • Lead the operations team in ensuring timely processes of accounts payable, and ensure strong vendor relationships. 

  • Ensure the operations team is equipped to have technology equipment ready and available at all times to ensure all employees can have continuity in work. 

  • Lead the Operations team in meeting event logistics needs from other departments, including payments. 

 

Department Management and Site Collaboration 

  • Identify, hire and develop a team of high performersUse cyready on-boarding and performance management process to coach team members to meet individual development and performance goals.   

  • Identify training needs and encourage the use of available systems, structures and capabilities to meet strategic goals. 

  • All staff are expected to support site wide programming in specified ways, including being present and available at annual events including MLK Day, Opening Day, Graduation, and Annual Luncheon.

 

 

Compensation and Benefits  

The compensation band for this role is $67,000-75,000. Excellent benefits including health (medical, vision, dental) insurance, vacation, holidays, parental leave, 401K, a flexible spending account, and more.
