In this role, the Income Tax Compliance Supervisor will be responsible for preparation and review of both federal and state income tax returns, federal extensions and estimated payments, provide audit support, and federal and state tax analytics for multiple legal entities across different businesses.

What You Will Do:
Supervise the federal tax compliance processes by organizing, assigning and coordinating work assignments to ensure accurate and timely filing of both corporate and partnership returns.
Prepare and review complex federal and state partnership and corporate returns.
Responsible for preparing and reviewing tax basis balance sheets, return to accruals and book-to-tax reconciliations.
Assist with federal tax audits and resolution of IRS notices.
Maintain compliance with federal tax laws and regulations regularly.
Research U.S. federal regulations using BNA and Checkpoint, including identification of issues impacting the Company.
Assist with other departments within Enbridge to develop efficient procedures and satisfy various department needs.
Participate in recognizing and implementing new processes and technology to streamline current processes.
Assist with preparing the internal federal income tax budgets and forecasts.
Prepare regulatory tax calculations needed for FERC compliance (including tax disclosure associated with FERC Form 2 and FERC Form 6, as well as tax support in rate cases as needed)
Develop and mentor Tax Analysts, Tax Advisors and Tax Specialists by allowing them opportunities that will help to advance their career growth.
Must have strong leadership skills and should be able to communicate effectively with the team members and various stakeholders
Support the Income Tax Accounting Manager in preparing and reviewing activities associated with the annual consolidated income tax provision processes (ASC 740 and FIN 48), ensuring proper workflow and due dates are met.
Work with tax depreciation system to calculate tax depreciation and other property related tax adjustments.
Prepare and review federal extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments including making payments via EFTPS to the IRS
Responsible for training individuals new to the group on processes and systems.
Required:
University graduate of Business Administration or a related discipline.
Certified Public Accountant designation and/or graduate degree preferred.
At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in income tax preferably in the energy industry.
Knowledge of federal and state income taxes.
Understanding of Tax Accounting.
Strong Excel, Word, oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Corptax, OneSource, tax research tools and PowerTax/BNA/OFA fixed asset software preferred
Strong analytical skills.
