The IT Project Manager 2 will be responsible for:
1) Facilities & Infrastructure Partnership: Align directly with the Capital Facilities planning areas to become familiar with the needs of each campus and build relationships with both the planners and project managers (construction) managing these initiatives. 2)Providing project management support to the smaller to mid-size capital projects. Secondary focus will be to assist on the Big8 capital projects. 3) Work with the ITS units to oversee design and deployment of structured cabling and fiber, network infrastructure, AV, physical security, and building systems integration. Track their tasks to completion. 4) Vendor and contractor management: Coordinate on-site installations, testing, deliverables and performance. 5) Ensure that our IT standards are being heard and applied to all aspects of the project. This may include walking project construction sites.

Principal Responsibilities
1. Collaborate to review routine project plans and proposals and develop project objectives; identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project; calculate time frames and sequence the stages of the project. 2. Communicate project scope, goals, and responsibilities to project team; establish clear stakeholder expectations, and requirements of varying degrees of complexity. 3. Coordinate and perform technical aspects of project, research issues. 4. Review, evaluate, and monitor cost schedule and technical scope baselines. 5. Ensure the preparation and delivery of required project documentation. 6. Prepare and provide project status updates. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
