Job Description

What is the opportunity

As a key member of this dynamic group, you’ll drive revenue growth by delivering tailored FX risk management solutions while deepening strategic client relationships of a targeted portfolio of high-value accounts, emphasizing personalized service, innovation, and collaboration across RBC’s Banking network.

What You’ll Do?

Client Relationship Management & Business Development

  • Build and deepen relationships with a curated portfolio of strategic accounts, prioritizing client retention and derivative solutions growth.

  • Source and convert new clients through proactive outreach via banker-led RFPs, and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Conduct in-person client meetings to strengthen partnerships, understand needs, and deliver bespoke FX solutions.

  • Provide market commentary and insights to clients, interpreting economic events to inform client and guide their risk strategies.

  • Partner with FX Structuring to design innovative hedging solutions tailored to client objectives.

  • Promote RBCs FX Platforms to manage client hedges & flow business

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Collaborate with regional Banking Centers, Commercial Rates, and Commercial FX teams to align on client segment strategies and foster a “One RBC” approach.

  • Coordinate with Execution and Digital Sales teams to optimize client coverage and referrals.

  • Represent RBCCM at industry events, promoting our value proposition (pricing, technology, expertise).

Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Conduct client risk assessments, ensure product suitability, maintain detailed trade records and adhere to regulatory/firm policies.

  • Proactively identify and escalate operational risks or control deficiencies.

What You Need to Succeed?

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Keen interest in FX markets and strong understanding of FX derivatives (forwards, swaps, options).

  • Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and drive revenue growth.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills for client meetings, Banking Center presentations business development, and internal events.

  • Prior experience in FX sales, risk management

  • Demonstrated success to grow revenue and new client acquisition.

  • Familiarity with the competitive landscape

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
