What you do

This is a mechanical HVAC service and repair position.

We will equip you with the required tools to perform your job at the highest standard.

How will you do it

Probationary Employees shall perform all pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service and all other work coming under the labor agreement assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the Employer, and shall perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer.

Troubleshoots and resolves problems. Responds to basic warranty calls. Keeps JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed. 

What we look for

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Familiarity with HVAC equipment

• The ability to perform general building maintenance

• Self-starter with ability to work independently

• This position requires a current driver's license

• Willingness to supplement on-the-job training

• Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

• EPA Refrigeration certification a plus

*This is a Bargaining Unit Position.

Pay Range: $20.35 – 20.90 Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.  Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. 

This is a Bargaining Unit Position but is subject to all pre-hiring screening of JCI. With successful performance, JCI may recommend you to the Union Local apprenticeship program, as well as continued employment at JCI.  Acceptance by Union Local must occur within 365 days of employment or will result in termination of this position.  This is not a guaranty of employment or entering the Union. The Union has its own entry, qualification & screening programs.
