Job Summary

Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to set up and operate the machinery in department 7 such as die cast, small rotor final, spin cast, fab rotor, etc…
  • Ability to visually inspect parts and detect defects and make necessary changes with quality guidelines
  • Read a tape measurer
  • Must comply with company quality and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Must be able to read prints
  • Use micrometers, verniers, snap gauges
  • Basic computer skills
  • Operate a fork lift

  • Dependability

  •    Previous employment in manufacturing
  •    Ability to work in a Team oriented setting
  • Good Communication skills – Verbal & Written
