Job Description

Role Overview 

The position provides an excellent opportunity to work on high profile transactions and portfolio companies throughout Europe and to interact with and support the global investment team network.   

Key Responsibilities 

  • Working with senior Brookfield management on deal origination  

  • Performing complex financial modelling and cash flow analysis  

  • Participating in every stage of deal execution and supporting the deal flow with ad hoc tasks  

  • Preparation of investment committee memorandums  

  • Assisting portfolio company management teams with a wide range of strategic activities including but not limited to bolt-on acquisitions, (re-)financings, business plan forecasting, strategic planning and other operations  

  • Conducting market research and tracking of industry trends  

Technical Skills 

  • Major in engineering, business, finance, economics, Private Equity or law preferred but not required 

  • Previous Private Equity and/or M&A internship experience is beneficial but not a prerequisite   

  • Genuine interest in Private Equity  

  • Strong analytical and financial skills as well as proficiency with Excel, Power Point and Word  

  • Self-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail  

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of another European language is an advantage
