Our team includes stroke and interventional neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neurointensivists, and rehabilitation specialists, all working together to provide expert management of a wide range of brain blood vessel disorders — including stroke, brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and more.


Department Workleader
As the Department Workleader, you will serve as a supportive, knowledgeable, and dependable resource for your team. In this role, you’ll take the lead on a variety of essential tasks that support high-quality patient care, team cohesion, efficient workflow, and effective training of staff. Your contributions are vital in ensuring that patients, families, and visitors receive the best possible experience throughout their time with us.

 
This is a full-time, onsite position with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays required. 
 

After 90 days of employment, employees may be eligible for a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) based on performance and management approval. 

 
A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Serve as the work leader and perform various duties to support the department.  

  • Provides administrative support in an overseas medical setting, assisting with CV calls, on-base faxes, forms, medication refills, and documentation in EPIC.  
    Collaborates closely with APPs, nurses, PSS staff, and schedulers to ensure seamless patient care coordination. 

  • Manages paperwork, phone communication, physician calendars, appointment updates, supporting efficient clinic operations and physician workflow. 

  • Coordinate resources for daily assignments and coordinate work schedules.  

  • Distribute work to maintain departmental workflow and desk coverage.  

  • Supervise the department function and resources in the absences of the manager.  

  • Participate on project teams to build competency around specific department tools and methods for organizational performance improvement.  

  • Conduct quality monitoring by providing training, recommending improved processes and maintaining documented processes and procedures.  

 
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • High School Diploma or GED and three years of experience coordinating multiple tasks  

  • OR Associate’s Degree and two years of experience  

  • OR Bachelor’s Degree and one year of experience 

 
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Leadership experience or experience providing work direction

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

  • In some locations, ability to move up to 20 pounds
