What is the opportunity?

In this role you will be responsible for the complete processing of complex client transactions:   Item Processing ensuring that Inward/Outward Clearing and transfer processing is completed within the stipulated period in accordance with the Clearinghouse Rules/operation guidelines ensuring a smooth workflow within  the department  whilst adhering to the established service level Agreement. Monitors the clearings process to ensure timeliness, accuracy, completeness and Delegated Limits of Authority(DLA) is maintained. Process Trade Products Standing order queue and Safe deposit services. 

What will you do?

• Provide consistent service within established benchmarks contributing to achievement of business Client Service Commitments and Service Level Agreements.
• Proactively identifies and recommends solutions to recurring errors and service gaps; acts as a referral point/Subject Matter Expert for sales and service employees.
• Ensure all documents/data are examined for completeness and accuracy and takes appropriate steps to correct for client. 
• Take ownership and accountability for the resolution of complex issues and concerns at the first point of contact; demonstrating a long-term perspective in addressing client concerns.  
• Identify service/operational inefficiencies and makes recommendations for value added enhancements to appropriate parties.
• Ensure all authorities for the role (delegated authorities, systems access etc.) are adhered to, reviewed and understood.
• Ensure adherence to Global Information Risk Management framework and Global Compliance mandated policies and procedures.
• Exercise due diligence in following operational risk policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Review all transactions/reports/documents to ensure compliance/adherence with policies/procedures/guidelines.

What do you need to succeed?

• HAVO or VWO or MBO qualifications (Diploma or equivalent as required) or Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 5 years banking experience with a strong operational background and emphasis on Trade operations. 
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience specifically related to payments. 
• Diverse and sound RBC business knowledge including service and operations.
• Proven team and client first orientation required.
