Forge is based in Columbus, Ohio, in a 200,000 square foot facility known affectionately by team members as, the Hearth. The Hearth, is a custom-designed cGMP facility dedicated to AAV manufacturing and hosts scalable, end-to-end manufacturing services.  

About The Role

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing IT-focused projects that support various departments within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of IT systems, project management methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a CDMO or a similar regulated environment and will be skilled in driving projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that all objectives are met on time and within budget.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and adjusting plans as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Coordinate with IT, Operations, Quality, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and systems.
  • Manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and ensuring timely resolution of any challenges that arise.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and outcomes to senior management and other key stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Ensure that all IT projects comply with industry regulations, including GMP, GCP, and other relevant standards.
  • Facilitate user training and support, ensuring that all team members are proficient with new systems and technologies.

What You’ll Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on IT projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, including software development, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential project challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, including GMP, GCP, and other relevant standards.
  • Ability to work onsite in Columbus, Ohio, 3-4 days/week on average.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in a CDMO, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position works in a typical office environment where the physical work demands will vary depending on the specific tasks and duties required of the job. This is largely a sedentary role; persons holding office positions are generally subject to inside environmental conditions having the lighting, temperature, and noise of an open floor-plan office environment. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Regularly communicate with others in person, over the phone, and electronically. Must be able to move and/or carry objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
