Role Overview
The Monetisation team is responsible for maximising long-term value creation for the company across buyers, sellers and partners. As Head of Pricing and Monetization, you will be an integral part of this team and will work on some of the largest and most complex elements of eBay’s business strategy, contributing to its financial performance (top and bottom line) and defining the relationships eBay has with its customers and partners representing the firm’s largest source of competitive advantage.
This role will report into the Director, Global Markets Special Pricing and Promotions, and will support the team in leading global pricing operations via multiple pricing tools, establishing policies and processes, while working closely with finance and seller management teams. You will need to operate cross-functionally in the day-to-day workings of eBay's global business to execute cross-market initiatives.
You will also be responsible for coordinating with several teams managing sellers (Business sellers and Consumer sellers) and buyers experiences to ensure special pricing and promotions are aligned with the business strategy and drive incremental business for eBay. You will have to coordinate with legal, marketing, customer service, product and analytics teams to ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.
Key Job Responsibilities
Work on designing, improving and implementing processes for operationalising special pricing and promotions
Drive the change management process across partner teams to ensure adoption of new processes
Ensure timely and error free execution of special pricing and promotions
Manage stakeholders and drive project execution: liaise with the relevant leads in seller management teams on key data insights to drive decision, and support and execution
Prioritize and scope opportunities to drive product enhancements
Define business objectives and measure progress in achieving results; demonstrate strong dedication towards goals and driving sophisticated projects focused on seller success, platform economics, customer experience, and long-term success

7+ years of relevant ecommerce or relevant industry leadership experience
5+ years of quantitative pricing experience
Proven experience in building pricing systems, tools, and processes
Strong analytical skills – expert in statistical analysis, A/B testing and financial modeling
Prior experience developing pricing in marketplace, retail, or software-as-a-service businesses
Experience synthesizing large data sets in analytics related tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, SAS or equivalent)
Prior experience leading and building teams
Creative problem-solving skills
Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
C$142,000 - C$189,600Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
