Job Description​

Support the Health Information Management HIM Department in providing and maintaining an accurate and complete health information record by processing images in the document management system.

Shift: Full Time Evening

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain medical records from the unit and assemble, scan and index batches into the proper system.

  • Ensure all health records are in compliance with law by ensuring complete medical records are obtained.  

  • Assist in the release of patient health information and maintain compliance according to policy.  

  • Ensure late charge sheets are returned as necessary to assist in correct entry of charging.

  • Perform routine chart processing activities, including searching, pulling and filing of medical records.  

  • Perform release of information for emergent patient care physician, hospital requests and respond to various requests via phone, fax, correspondence.  

  • Import in Solarity scan application.
