Senior Analyst Credit & Collections

General Purpose

The candidate will be based at our Malaysia-Penang office reporting on the Global Accounts Receivable team. The role will primarily be responsible for all collection duties related to a portfolio of accounts, supporting the credit management function and special projects as needed. The ideal candidate should have strong people and customer service skills, a track record of driving results against company metrics and the ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

You will be responsible but not limited to the following tasks:

  • Following up on open accounts
  • Reconciling customer statements
  • Independently investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices
  • Processing customer refunds
  • Assisting with the month end closing activities such as reporting for accounts receivable and overdue analysis
  • Processing LTA Deposit Offsets and related duties
  • Cross-border collaboration with Customer Service Representative (CSR), Customer Business Management (CBM), Customer, and Account Manager (AM) to drive forward all duties and any discrepancies that may arise
  • Contribution to Management Reporting packs for assigned accounts
  • Support on raising Billing, Debit Note and Credit Note (DNCN)
  • Assistance with various administrative tasks related to Accounts Receivable
  • Assistance with Accounts Receivable projects, such as system UAT testing
  • Support credit management duties as and when it is required
  • Other ad hoc duties

Supervisory Responsibilities

The role does not supervise any other staff members.

Education/Experience Required

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role. Candidates should have the following skills

  • Requires a high level of analysis, judgment, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Calm and effective under pressure. Able to remain professional in high-stress situations
  • Able to plan, execute and manage high volumes of work
  • Time management/Prioritizing
  • Must be able to work independently or with minimum supervision
  • Able to communicate at all levels and collaborate cross functionally with Business Partners
  • Fully Bilingual in English and Mandarin
  • Positive attitude/Can do attitude
  • Fast learner

Computer Skills Necessary

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially MS excel, Word and Outlook
  • Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Oracle Financial R12 system.
  • Power BI (preferable)
